Paris at last

The overnight train was great and we even had our own little shower in the cabin. We were served breakfast on our room and arrived in Paris refreshed and ready to tackle the Metro. After over 2 weeks on the road in 5 different cities, we were ready for a bit of r and r today even though Paris beckoned with the buzz of conversation and laughter on the street below our very quaint apartment near the Les Halles district. We did take time for lunch in a cafe complete with frites and duck with honey sauce. We collected a plate of pungent cheeses, an olive baguette and fig bread from the bakery beneath us for evening snacks. Fun to play house in our little Parisian place.
