Vienna is elegant
One can easily imagine ladies in long velvet dresses and fashionable bonnets swishing through the narrow streets surrounding St. Stephens Cathedral. Covered horse carriages lined up like taxi cabs on the cobbles below the spires so evocative of times past. After our very cold walk through the Viennese streets we adjourned to the famous Cafe Prueckel on the Ringstrasse for gluewein and apple strudel.

came home this week to see the very large beautiful church at our corner had been demolished...seeing this incredible centuries old architecture makes me realize what a disposible society we are here in Canada..no appreciation for our past.
