Budapest Day 3

We now really know the city after a bus tour this morning-the citadel, the castle district and Heroes Square. Cold and rainy so what better place to stay dry than the Market for sausages and beer. The evening brought a visit to a Ruin pub, Szimpla. Eclectic spot in an old building in the Jewish quarter found after wandering down dimly lit cobbled streets glistening in the rain - feeling like foreign correspondents in the 40's. Szimpla was filled with young hipsters and was the sort of place where we felt we fit in even though 30-40 years separated us from the group! Beef goulash, fish soup and flaming pancakes with chocolate syrup to finish off the day.
